Super Discovery for POS, Retail and related business: Affordable 3D printing in giant format

The company Integral 3D Printing Iberia has introduced to the market the solution of 3D Printing Super Discovery, conceived for the creation of giant and resistant pieces, at a competitive cost: Instead of using materials of high cost, the Super Discovery uses materials in the form of pellet, thus cheapening the cost of the final part.

For companies focused on Graphic Arts, POS, Retail and related sectors (Advertising, Branding & Packaging, Cinema, Events, Marketing, Performing Arts, TV, etc.) this 3D printing solution in giant format can offer the opportunity to significantly expand its offer of business, since the type of applications that fit with this machine are all those that require unique pieces of great volume and high mechanical and thermal resistance, but at a competitive cost.

In the case of Graphic Arts companies that are dedicated to the production of POS and Retail, the Super Discovery is ideal for manufacturing giant objects that should attract a lot of attention. But, why limit your business just to POS and Retail? The high mechanical and thermal resistance of the available materials makes it ideal for other applications such as ephemeral architecture, ephemeral furniture, selfie points, and a long etcetera: If you can imagine and draw, Super Discovery can manufacture it.

As for the target customer of Super Discovery, basically it is anyone who needs to obtain unique objects of giant size, which by their complicated form are impossible to obtain by traditional machining, or that, due to the high cost and / or limited characteristics of the base material , are non-viable to obtain through other 3D printing technologies.

Coca-Cola: 3D Printing to Drive Marketing Projects

When we think about 3D Printing, we think about models, parts, and prototypes. But what about marketing incentives? Slowly but surely, marketing uses of 3D Printing are growing, even if they are doing so in a stealth way. There are three approaches marketers are using 3D Printing in their marketing plans:

1) allow customers to win (or earn) 3D-printed specialty incentives
2) allow customers to access blueprints to print 3D models themselves
3) allow customers to print/customize/personalize general commercial products enabled and facilitated by the marketer.

Regardless of the approach, the overall value for printers and marketing services providers is tremendous. So what are you going to do? You can either wait for a company to decide to use 3D printing in its marketing... and then hope they come to you for their marketing services... or you could be more proactive, taking 3D promotional ideas and opportunities to your customers and prospects.

Let’s take a closer look at each these approaches... (Continue reading)

¿What 3D technologies are relevant to the 2D printing industry?

Such theme will be addressed at Drupa's 3D fab + print touchpoint by some leading companies as Doob, Gartner, Massivit or SDD/AMR Europe.

Open daily during Drupa’s business hours, KCI’s 3D fab + print touchpoint will be available in Hall 7a at stand C41. There will be formed a meeting ground where thought leaders, industry professionals, exhibitors, and visitors working in both the 2D printing/packaging production, and 3D printing industries can come together to discuss thought-provoking ideas, share technologies, and knowledge.

The ultimate objective of the touchpoint is to encourage new technological integrations, even leading to new brand and production collaborations and partnerships between these three important industries. In this way, the 2D printing and packaging production industries will be able to come along and examine not only their present potential, which may not as yet have been fully realized, but also be able to look at what 3D printing has to offer their businesses both now and for the future.

“Just come along to one of our networking events and have some fun! Have a drink with us and make some new friends and business partners. You might also just be the lucky person who wins one of the Cubicon Style 3D printers that will be given away, or gets a free scaled bust of yourself, printed by one of our partners”, says Leslie Wood Account Manager 3D fab+print.
